Headlight restoration is a reality simple DIY job. You can start off the restoration by giving your headlights a good cleaning.  You need warm water and soap. Clean the headlights and then dry it off with a cloth. You have to tape off the area in order to avoid damage to the surrounding areas. You are now ready to sand the headlights. Sandpaper has different types of grit, which are 600, 1,000, and 2,000. You need to begin with the 600, which is the coarsest type of sandpaper. After that, you can use the 1,000 and then the 2,000.

You can then use a polishing cloth to give the headlights a nice shine. You can also use a cotton buffing wheel to polish the headlights. Additionally, you need to use a UV sealant after you have cleaned and polished the headlights. The UV sealant helps prevent oxidizing.
