- Park: Park the vehicles close to one another. Be sure that both vehicles are off.
- Prep: Pop both hoods and locate the batteries. Grab your jumper cables and make sure they are untangled.
- Attach: Hook the (+) clamp to the positive terminal of the dead battery. Then, attach the (-) clamp to the negative terminal of the dead battery.
- Start: Start the engine of the working car. Then, start the dead car.
- Remove: Remove the cables, starting with the negative cable and then the positive cable.
- Run the Vehicle: Let the newly started vehicle run for a few minutes or drive for at least 15 minutes.
